You count on your heating and cooling systems to keep you comfortable inside your Gainesville home. However, there is not much our team or your air conditioning can do for you while you are outside, exposed to the hot Florida sun. We don’t recommend that you spend the majority of your summer inside trying to escape the heat, but we do have some fun suggestions that will help you cool off while you’re out having some fun in the sun.
Who doesn’t love spending their weekends by the poolside with a delicious drink in hand? Not only is relaxing by the pool with a good book the perfect activity to help you recharge your batteries, but you can always just hop in for a cool dip when the heat becomes too stifling. Just don’t forget to bring your sunscreen!
Go to The Beach
One of the great things about living in Florida is beach access. Even though the beach might not be just around the corner, a good way to stay cool and have fun this summer is by spending a weekend at the beach with family and friends. When your beach volleyball game gets a little too heated, take a break and spend some time in the water. This will help cool you down and you can get back to your game.
Nothing tastes better on a hot summer day than a cold, refreshing glass of your favorite beverage. If you are out and about in the heat and starting to wilt, stop into your favorite cafe and order up a cool beverage. Not only will some shade provide some much needed relief, but a cold drink will provide you with the hydration you need to get back out there and enjoy your day.
